A Remote Vision

Living on a small island presents unique challenges, particularly when it comes to employment opportunities, which are few and far between. This scarcity has dramatically affected our offshore communities, with Irish islands experiencing a staggering 90% decline in population since their peak.

Many residents feel compelled to leave in search of better prospects; however, I firmly believe that remote work can play a vital role in revitalizing these areas. Our islands boast a rich tapestry of history and heritage that deserves preservation. Sadly, traditional livelihoods such as fishing and farming are diminishing, leaving many without hope for the future.

By embracing remote work, we can create new avenues for economic growth while celebrating and sustaining our unique island culture, ensuring these beautiful places continue to thrive for generations to come.
